Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) is a premier public health sciences university located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Established on 1 November 1986, it was the first university in India exclusively dedicated to health sciences education, with the objective of regulating, coordinating, and improving medical education across the state. The university was inaugurated by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao and has since become one of the country’s most respected institutions for medical and allied health education.
